On those accounts where more aggressive management is required or where on-site engineers do not have the time to make the recommended changes, AEA provides its OnTrack service. This service couples the Building Automation System trending and Analysis (FastTrack) with on-site visits by AEA engineers to assist the operating staff in implementing the recommended changes.
This more aggressive program can generate a higher level of savings than that achieved by the FastTrack program and will get you to your savings goals quicker.
Coupled with !fastrack services, AEA engineers make routine site visits to each facility. Working through a top ten list of items to be corrected, AEA engineers work with the on-site staff to incorporate the changes into the facility. Some of these changes are simply changes to the control system operating strategy and some are more complicated piping modifications. In either case, AEA engineers manage the process and minimize the disruption to the facilities department. Site visits are made approximately every six weeks, depending on the needs and complexity of the facility.
The Ontrack program has consistently delivered a reduction in energy consumption resulting in a savings of between 6% and 12% of the Utility Bill. As an Operationally Based Program, OnTrack has a simple payback of less than 12 months. There is no true Capital Investment required but we do recommend a small allowance to cover miscellaneous repairs and modifications that need to be accomplished quickly to ramp up the savings process.
As part of OnTrack, AEA will guarantee that savings generated will at least cover the AEA fee or the shortfall will be returned to the facility. This guarantee ensures the facility that the program will be budget-neutral in a worst-case situation.
