American Energy Assets (AEA) has been working with building managers across America to implement a program called FastTrack at their facilities. The program uses existing building automation systems and AEA's proprietary software program to identify operational changes to the HVAC systems to drive energy savings. As part of this program, AEA sets up Building Automation System (BAS) trending information and imports it directly into our evaluation tool called BOB. Once the data has been imported, AEA engineers analyze the data and look for improvements to HVAC systems or programming that can do a better job of controlling the equipment in an energy efficient manner.

The core tool that we use to track and manage FastTrack Energy Programs is our Online Energy Portal we call "BOB." We provide our clients with a username and password to access their dashboard on BOB to view energy tracking information, as well as energy savings opportunities and results.

AEA's V5 Analysis tools pinpoint anomalies in the operation of your HVAC control systems. A dollar value is assigned to each item identified to produce a prioritized "Top 10" list of efficiency opportunities.

Our engineers work with your engineers to determine the cause and solution to each item. The analysis models are adjusted as needed to account for on-site particulars to eliminate any invalid items from the list so that efforts can be concentrated on real improvements. Under the FastTrack Program, implementation of the solution is the responsibility of the building manager. This can be done by your in-house staff or you may wish to bring in contractors for more involved modifications. AEA also offers a program we call "OnTrack" that includes on-site work by our engineers to implement modifications to your HVAC and control systems.
As modifications are implemented, we use the analysis tools to create "Before-and-After" graphs that document the changes made and the resulting change in control system operation. To track the financial benefits of these results, we create monthly reports of energy savings achieved throughout the term of the program.
